Church is Finished at Last

After luncho, we wento to the churcho (By the way, we are speaking a new language made up by Michael Frank that we call "Frank!"). At the church we worked hard until about 9:30pm painting and putting the finishing touches on the display case in the foyer. It looks magnifico! I (Cara) just know the church members who haven´t seen it yet are going to love the improvements and feel proud of their place of worship. We quickly ran back to the hotel to get changed to go to dinner with Tamar and Danny, two of the members of the church here in Vilanova. They took us to a restaurant on the sea where many of us had our first taste of paella, which was muy bueno! Then, we took a short walk down the street and have just returned home. Tomorrow, we will be cleaning the church and planning for Saturday. Hasta luego!

The message below was sent from a mission team from Croatia (supported by North Point) that returned from a mission in South Asia. Here's what was written on July 4th....

We Americans stood up and cheered among the nations for Independence Day. The United States of America with all her problems still sends out more missionaries than any other country in the world. Our freedom and prosperity has certainly been allowed by God with the intention of blessing the world.

We were also given a very sobering prayer request. Coming at this time, I hope this news increases your gratefulness for the freedom in America and increases your seriousness concerning prayer for the lost nations of the world.

For security reasons I will have to be vague about what was communicated to us. We were given more detail, but have been instructed not to relate those details for the protection of our staff. In one of our South Asian nations, 41 Campus Crusade for Christ staff were taken from a prayer meeting and imprisoned. In this particular location this is a very serious situation. The Area Director has asked us to raise up at least 41,000 people to pray for these staff.

While I encourage you to pray for physical protection and freedom for these staff, the staff have also asked that we pray for the prisoners with whom they are incarcerated. The first week of being imprisoned, a woman in prison for involvement with an extremist group received a dream in which God declared, "Listen to these people who have been put in prison with you. They are children of God." When she awoke, the vividness of the dream compelled the woman to rush
to our staff and ask about Jesus. She placed her faith in Him as her Lord. Our staff ask for your prayers for other prisoners.

We ask also for prayer for thier safety and for the hearts of the judges. The trial started yesterday. Pray for the judges to act righteously. Pray for
freedom. Pray for the spread of true freedom in Christ.{END}

Your prayers for these other members of His team would be greatly appreciated. We as Americans have the opportunity and freedom to plant many seeds all around the world...to watch them grow in ways that might not be seen now, but in the future blossum into a beautiful rainbow of colors. Keep up the good work!
